Korankei is famous for the
beautiful colored leaves.
There are more than 4000 maple trees.
Usually around November 20th is the best
time to see them there.

In the Showa/ณ˜a era (834-848A.D.),
Ozaki Yoshimitsu, a smith who worked
for Atsuta Shrine, enshrined
Kanayamahiko-no-mokoto (a God of
blacksmith) in his place.
This was the beginning of
the Kanayama shrine.
Ozaki family had made iron goods like
swords, axes, etc. Then, Kanayama is
the birthplace of Owari style smithy.
Ritual for the people of the steel
industry are held from 11:00.
