		Hassaku2011 八朔	Gion Area Higashiyama-ku Kyoto C. Kyoto 京都	August 1/annual "Hassaku" means first day of the eighth month by lunar calendar. A long time ago, we have had a custome to visit people who have helped us to express our gratitude with gifts on Hassaku day. This tradition has been kept in the Geiko and maiko world in Kyoto. They robed in the most formal black kimono and visit the teahouse(ochaya), teachers of accomplishments and senior geiko to xpress their gratitude.	-	-
